the prep

Two days leading up to your appointment make sure you are hydrated and have electrolytes! Please shave area to be tattooed unless you are unsure where you’d like it, that’s okay! We will shave at your appointment. Lotion your body and tattoo location leading up to appointment day.

Night before tattoo please gently exfoliate your skin and LOTION. This will allow your skin to be hydrated and prepared for tattooing. Think of your skin like a canvas, sand paper and texture make it hard for a tiny needle to move seamlessly through the skin.

  • No blood thinners, alcohol or caffeine prior to appointment please !

  • Eat a full meal before arriving.

  • Continue drinking water throughout the day.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area.

  • Bring snacks or drinks for longer sessions if needed.

  • Feel free to bring headphones, a blanket, or anything that helps you feel comfortable.

Please Avoid:

  • Excessive sun exposure or sunburn

  • Arriving intoxicated or under the influence

  • Heavy caffeine intake if you are sensitive to it

  • Taking blood thinners unless medically necessary

  • Working out immediately before your appointment

Your health and safety always come first. While most people are able to be tattooed safely, there are certain conditions or circumstances that may require postponing your appointment or receiving medical clearance beforehand. Please inform me prior to your appointment if any of the following apply to you:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Diabetes

  • Blood clotting disorders

  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders

  • Autoimmune disorders

  • Skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, or keloid scarring in the tattoo area

the aftercare

do.

don’t.

the healing

Flaking, dryness, itchiness, and slight peeling are all completely normal during healing. Let your skin shed naturally and trust the healing process.

Taking care of your tattoo properly is one of the best ways to preserve the softness, detail, and longevity of fine line work
