WHAT TO EXPECT
Getting tattooed should feel comfortable, collaborative, and intentional from start to finish. Whether it’s your first tattoo or an addition to your collection, the experience is designed to feel relaxed, welcoming, and personalized to you. Your session will begin with reviewing the design, sizing, and placement to make sure everything feels perfect before tattooing begins. Fine line tattooing is a slower, detail-focused process that prioritizes precision, softness, and clean execution. I generally get designs out to clients for review 24-48hrs in advance so we can make any adjustments if necessary!
Pain levels vary depending on placement and individual tolerance, but breaks are always welcomed and your comfort is important throughout the session. Clients typically feel very little to moderate pain.
TOUCH UPS. WHAT’S NORMAL.
I always offer touch ups to my client at a small rate for life , just a set up fee! Fine line tattoos are designed to heal soft, delicate, and refined — but because they use thinner lines and finer detail, touch-ups can sometimes be a normal part of the process. Certain areas of the body, skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and aftercare can all affect how a tattoo heals and settles into the skin.
While many fine line tattoos heal beautifully on the first pass, some pieces may require small touch-ups after healing to reinforce details or even out areas where the skin may not have held ink consistently. This is especially common with very delicate designs, tiny details, finger tattoos, or highly exposed areas of the body.
Over time, all tattoos naturally age with the skin. Proper aftercare, moisturizing, and daily SPF can help maintain the crispness and longevity of fine line work for years to come.
The goal is always to create tattoos that age gracefully while still maintaining the soft and intentional aesthetic that makes fine line work so unique.
